About Lauren Michele
Lauren Michele Catering is headed by Lauren Cooperman, a New Jersey native who has cooked in some of San Francisco's finest restaurants. Her professional background includes training at the acclaimed Tante Marie's Cooking School in San Francisco, after which she worked at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio and the celebrated wine bar and modern bistro Bacar. In the restaurant kitchen she missed what had initially drawn her to cooking: crafting menus to suit specific situations and seeing people enjoy her creations. In catering she seeks to share the excitement for food she felt at the age of four, when she first tasted a perfectly ripe tomato in her grandmother's garden.
After working for a range of large catering companies in the Bay Area, she founded Lauren Michele Catering in 2002. With Lauren Michele Catering and Stock Your Fridge she consults with clients to create menus tailored to their events.
